Law - Sequence Listing(s)

Care must be taken in following sequence listing format rules. In the typical case of a biotechnology invention involving molecular biology or genetic engineering, the following sequence information may be appropriate for inclusion in an invention disclosure, if applicable:
Sequence of any probe(s)
Sequence of any known protein(s)
Preferred regulatory sequence(s)
Information in the following sections of the PCT Applicant's Guide (PCTAG) is applicable to this task:

PCTAG Vol. I/A § V ¶ 123 What special requirements apply to nucleotide and/or amino acid sequence listings?

PCTAG Vol. I/A § V ¶ 207 What special requirements apply during the international search to nucleotide and/or amino acid sequence listings?

PCTAG Vol. I/A § V ¶ 208 Can the International Searching Authority require a sequence listing to be provided in machine readable form?

PCTAG Vol. I/A § V ¶ 209 What machine readable forms for sequence listings are acceptable?

PCTAG Vol. I/A § V ¶ 210 What is the procedure for furnishing a sequence listing upon invitation?

PCTAG Vol. I/A § V ¶ 211 Does a seuence listing furnished to or transcribed by the International Searching Authority form part of the international application?

PCTAG Vol. I/A § V ¶ 212 Will a sequence listing furnished to or transcribed by the International Searching Authority also meet any requirements of the International Preliminary Examining Authority or, in the national phase, of a designated Office?

PCTAG Vol. I/A § V ¶ 415 What special requirements apply to nucleotide and/or amino acid sequences disclosed in international applications?

Information in the following MPEP sections is not directly applicable to this task. However, since PCT rules are somewhat similar in concept to U.S. rules, it is included for general reference only.
