In describing the advantages of your invention over other solutions, present each advantage in a sentence that will be part of the same paragraph. Furthermore, do not number, prioritize or rank the advantages, as this could affect how the claims are interpreted in a patent application. A good syntax is as follows: "One advantage of the invention is . . . .", "Another advantage of the invention is . . . .", "A further advantage of the invention is . . . ." and, "Yet another advantage of the invention is . . . ." These prefaces can be repeated in any order, ad infinitum.
When a patent application is filed, this information will become a part of the Summary of the Invention section. (Skip a line between paragraphs and indent the first line of each paragraph.)
